Summer Slam returns with all new look

Following the success of the inaugural Summer Slam – Fully Loaded Softball tournament, the exciting fast-paced format will return with an all new look to primetime on FOX SPORTS Australia and Kayo from 3-5 February 2020.

The tournament will again follow the Asia Pacific Cup (30 January – 2 February) at Blacktown International Sportspark in order to utilise the international talent amongst the teams where they’ll play alongside current and future Travelodge Aussie Spirit stars.

Following Australia’s qualification into the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the tournament will take on even more significance with every pitch against elite competition crucial to Australia’s medal chances.

Sports apparel company and Softball Australia partner First Ever have given the uniforms and logos of the Fury, Lightning, Emeralds, Riot, Bandits and Panthers a facelift with the entire range now available for purchase.

“The new Summer Slam identity is part of our partnership with First Ever and they’ve done a fantastic job creating an exciting new range to match the tournament’s identity,” said David Pryles, Chief Executive Officer at Softball Australia.

“The inaugural tournament was a great success and we’ve now developed an online platform specifically for Summer Slam merchandise so the fans can behind their favourite teams.”

For the second year running, FOX SPORTS Australia will broadcast the innovative competition featuring some of the best softballers in action to Foxtel and Kayo Subscribers.
